  2. What is Innovative?

The purpose of today’s message is to offer up an opportunity to share things that are innovative in your school/business. As many of you know SIGilt will be publishing the fall copy of innovative learning in mid-October and has decided to put in a section called, “What is Innovative?”

All you need to do is visit the innovative learning fall survey and fill out the requested information.

If you are curious what a finished example would look like see below.

Lisa Sjogren (Osseo Area Schools, MN) has been working on a team to develop an online and on demand training module for district teachers. These courses are designed to provide an hour overview, skills for implementation, and integration into the classroom. Each class is designed around a software, web 2.0, or hardware solution. She may be contacted for further information at sigilt.communicationschair@gmail.com.

We hope to publish a wide selection of innovative ideas as possible.

  3. SIGilt Sponsered Poster Session at ISTE 2010

As many of you know the call for participation for ISTE 2010 went out this week. Instead of the traditional business meeting SIGilt has elected to sponsor a poster session. So instead of sitting in the business meeting, you as members can contribute a poster to the session and share your learning with a wide range of participants.

To get your poster session considered for the SIGilt sponsored poster event.

    • In the field keywords: one of your five keywords should be: SIGilt
    • In the field exhibitor status: indicate SIGilt as your sponsoring organization.

This way we can work with the program chairs to ensure that all who designated “SIGilt” will be in a poster session together.

The call for proposals closes on October 7, 2009. So don’t delay!
